I get this except I get massive bad raging effects where I have heart palpitations, feeling of imminent doom and I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack. Your symptoms are like the beginnings or a lite version. It really, really sucks. It's called Panic Attacks or Anxiety attacks. When I get a bad one panic attack is the proper term. It's like if there was some very dangerous threat to your life but in reality there was nothing. No one knows why people get these. I think it's the nervous system going haywire and whatever shuts down the fight or flight response gets stuck off and doesn't kick in so you get stuck in panic mode. I take medication for it sometimes but don't care for the medication because it makes me a little slow and effects my memory. It does have a lot less side effects than most meds so it's not too bad. I don't want to scare you off from it it's not bad at all and it's cheap. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BuspironeI read a US CDC article on Panic Attacks and they said that Calcium and Magnesium would help so I bought some of these, Super Earth Rainforest Animalz Calcium Magnesium & Vitamin D3 Natural Vanilla 90 chewables www.amazon.com/Rainforest-Animalz-Calcium-Magnesium-chewables/dp/B004WP2EQW?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duckduckgo-ffnt-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B004WP2EQW&th=1These work. Big time. They don't stop the attacks but they take A LOT of the edge off and when I take these when I feel an attack coming on I don't seem to get the really bad ones which are major, "I feel like I'm dying", really super bad effects. I usually take a couple depending on how I feel. Sometimes I might take up to five if I can't seem to calm down. I'm not sure why but taking normal Calcium, Magnesium doesn't really seem to do the same thing. Maybe the chew-able helps??? I usually chew then rest under my tongue. Anyways this brand works for me so I stick to it. I have no financial interest in any of these just compassion for anyone that has this. Whenever I talk to anyone that gets panic attacks I can immediately tell if they do if the subject is brought up. You can see it in their eyes. It really sucks. I used to get small ones and they got worse. I suggest you try to talk to someone about it. If you get a bunch of bad ones it can condition you in a very negative way. It's made me less likely to go out and very less risk adverse as I can't stand these attacks. It's can debilitate you for days as your body gets so wound up up. Drinking excessively makes it much worse. Coffee, any stimulants,(i can't drink coffee any more which is a huge bummer because I love it). Stress makes it worse.

Sorry all, have been going through it, ill try to post more. Sam, im by no means a medical professional but when does this occur? It can be intimidating at first and you might feel not great in the beginning but getting into that state is a huge step. I view it as mindless state like when a dog is chewing a bone. Their body is there but their mind is anywhere else. Personally I get hyper, hyper aware, of everything and of nothing at the same time. My view on the berserkergang might be a little different but even just casually thinking about letting off the leash makes my heart pump out of my chest. Last time I was conscious enough to check my pulse was around 170-180. It may only feel bad at first because you arent used to it.

My two cents about buspirone. Some people it works for, others they don't feel like themselves. For me it didn't do anything at all. So Then they tried me on seroquil and latuda saying I was bipolar (i think it's mostly anxiety not bipolar but if you mention anxiety to doctors they assume you're a drug seeker) I finally got put on something I can take as needed (a nerve med) because I don't like feeling constantly medicated. Most of the shit they tried me on made me actually panic even worse which was horrible while at work. Anyway, if it works for you that's awesome. Keep us updated on how it works.

Psilocybin mushrooms are the ultimate fuck off to anxiety. Studies support this. The spiritual benefits are also ideal, imo. Set and setting are crucial though.

I can attest to that. Stay away from everything else minus alcohol.

If it happens once a month, could it be connected to the Moon?

I have wondered that myself if there is any truth to the legends. If there is a difference for me personally during one I have not noticed it.

When my grandfather was alive, he would always go off during the full moon. I've read that the moon affecting people is just a myth, but I've seen it affect people.
