Hey everybody my name is Bertje and I'm a 30 year old male from the Netherlands (so english is not my native langue but I will try my best:))
For a couple of years now I started to get this weird mental states/flashes wich are very hard to discribe with words... Mostly one day every month I get these weird flashes wich happen no langer than 30 secs to max 1 min, about 4-6 times a day. Basicly it goes something like this:
Most of the time it begins very early in the morning, my body starts to heat up and I get a little sweaty. It suddenly feels as something inside is taking over me, a very powerfull overwhelming feeling. At the same time I also feel scared and anxious, but then again it also feels very nice sort of... a mix of emotions come all at once. When it happens it's very hard to think, when someone is talking to me I will hear the words but I cannot make something out of it, or when I'm reading a book, I see the letters but I can't make words from it. Vision also changes, it seems that I get some kind of eagle vision, everything seems to get larger and broader. Sometimes smells are getting stronger or I smell something that isn't realy there. Sometimes I also automaticly begin to swallow because my mouth is started to make a little more saliva. The last time I experienced these flashes I also was gettin this weird pressure feeling in my muscles, some kind of strong electric feeling or something like that. Also it can be that some memories are starting to come up about things I experienced as a child, not bad things, but things like playing in the garden or sometimes it seems that I can feel the presence of my deseased grandma.
But again, these flashes I get are very hard to discribe with words. I cannot control them, and I'm a little scared of them to. I'm scared that mabye in the future I do some things I don't want to do when I'm in this mental state. I've been to a docter and other people about these flashes, but they have never experienced this before. The only explanation my docter could give me is that it could be some kind of very mild epeleptic attack.
What do you guys think about this? Or maybe someone of you also experienced these flashes before?
Greetings from the Netherlands!
